- Don't get distracted

- Use "good" sources (scholarly reviewed)
- Use sources from both "sides"
- Don't procrastinate -- it leads to patch writing/plagiarism
- Cite and paraphrase properly
- Research something that interests you!
- Try to avoid bias.
- Be open minded, consider other points of view
- Know what you're looking for. Have a topic in mind, but don't be too narrow.
- If you need help, ask (your professors, tutors, peers, librarians).
